John Norton is a Managing Director for ACT Capital Advisors. John represents sellers in all industries and oversees ACT’s Information Technology Practice. He’s based out of Vancouver, Washington.
Before joining ACT in 2016, John owned and operated several businesses. He was the President of iHost Networks, a provider of web hosting, domain registration, and eCommerce services. During his time at iHost, he grew the customer base from a few hundred small and medium businesses to over 14,000. In 2015, he sold the company to a private buyer.
Before iHost, John was a partner in MicroCrafts, Inc, a custom software engineering firm which was sold to publicly traded Metamor Worldwide in 1999. MicroCrafts was one of the fastest growing companies in the Seattle area, coming in 3rd place on Deloitte’s Fast 50 list.
John graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Economics. While at the University of Washington, John was a 2-year letterman on the Husky Crew Team.
