George Gifford is a Senior Advisor at ACT Capital Advisors and runs the firm’s Nashville office. He brings more than 30 years of experience in mergers & acquisition, corporate finance, investment banking, and financial services to ACT’s clients and associates. Having represented both domestic and international clients in a broad range of industries, he has closed well over $750 million in transactions with private equity, public and private organizations and traditional banking. The industries represented include heavy and light manufacturing, industrial distribution, IT and software development, retail, business to business services, engineering construction, as well as truck and automobile dealerships and leasing companies.
He began his business career in sales with IBM. This was followed by ownership of businesses in oil distribution, aviation, insurance, dealerships, and commercial real estate. Mr. Gifford is a former Air Force pilot. Prior to the Air Force, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alabama.
