ACT Capital Advisors’ Dallas office is led by Managing Directors Ron Huff and David Pickard—two highly experienced professionals with extensive backgrounds in finance, operations, and business advisory.
Ron Huff, CPA, has held senior leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Finance, and President across multiple industries. He has taken two companies public, raised nearly $2 billion in public and private capital, and successfully negotiated, closed, and integrated more than three dozen M&A transactions. His career includes managing a Goldman Sachs-backed startup, advising family offices through his own boutique private equity firm, and serving as expat CFO for the National Oil Company of Trinidad & Tobago during a critical restructuring period.
David Pickard, DBA, brings over 20 years of experience advising business owners on succession planning, exit strategies, and valuation. Prior to joining ACT Capital Advisors, he spent a decade in a senior role at a leading investment banking firm and held management positions at Black & Decker. A published academic and accomplished speaker, Dr. Pickard completed his doctoral research on the factors influencing business owners’ decisions around exit strategies and has interviewed over 500 business owners as part of his work.
Together, Ron and David provide strategic M&A and exit planning guidance to business owners throughout Texas and beyond, combining financial rigor with deep operational insight.
