Dr. David Pickard is an accomplished speaker, business leader, mergers and acquisitions sell-side advisor, and professor of marketing, finance, and economics. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Pickard advises business owners and executives on succession planning, exit strategies, and valuation services.
Before joining ACT Capital Advisors, Mr. Pickard held a senior role for an industry-leading investment banking firm for 10 years. He held various management positions for Black & Decker for over 10 years. In addition to corporate roles, Mr. Pickard has owned several successful businesses.
Mr. Pickard holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida. Mr. Pickard has interviewed over 500 business owners and completed his doctoral thesis on ‘The progressive and regressive factors that business owners face when deciding whether to implement an exit strategy or not’. Mr. Pickard also graduated from Nelson University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Mr. Pickard resides in Dallas, TX, with his wife, Natalie, and daughter, Gabriela Valentina.
